Description

The Human Capital Operations Support Specialist role provides operational support, data analysis, technical expertise, and problem-solving resolution to support CHP’s Human Capital department. Provides support on systems and technologies through troubleshooting, handling upgrades, data analysis, project work, and reporting. Provides support to Learning and Development and Safety Teams.

The candidate must live within the CHP footprint. The salary range is $23.55-$28.85 depending on experience and qualifications. This position may work from home up to 5 days per week with prior supervisor approval.

Essential Duties & Responsibilities

  • Acts as an HC contact for Data collection and analysis. Runs reports out of Business Intelligence System and provides reporting support to other departments.
  • Assists with organization compensation management.
  • Performs ongoing organization compensation analysis to include comp analysis requests and full comp studies every two years.
  • Works with Learning & Development (L&D) by proactively reaching out to leaders on budgeted classes and scheduling.
  • Assists HC and L&D with the performance management process.
  • Supports the CHP recruiting team with the recruiting process. Receives and posts all job requests to CHP, posts jobs to state job boards, communicates with hiring managers, initiates processing of temp worker requests
  • Assists with key HC project coordination to include yearly benefits open enrollment.
  • Assist in yearly reporting for audits and government agencies including AAP, EEO, 403B Audit, and WC Audit.
  • Work closely with the HC Manager and VP of HC to provide continued human resources support to the team.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Resiliency and the ability to change direction quickly and enthusiastically, jumping directly into new opportunities as they are discovered.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with company personnel across multiple departments.
  • Intermediate proficiency in a variety of computer software applications especially Excel and Microsoft Office products.
  • Must possess excellent judgment, a high level of interpersonal skills, and the ability to handle sensitive or confidential information with a high degree of professional discretion.
  • Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage and prioritize multiple tasks and responsibilities, and the ability to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills, and ability to communicate professionally and courteously with employees at all levels of the organization.

Education and/or Experience

  • Associate degree required. Bachelor's degree in HR, project management, business, or related field preferred.
  • Minimum of one year experience in a HR role or a degree in HR.
  • High proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite required with advanced experience in Excel required.
  • Experience in HRIS systems a plus.

This is a 40-hour week position.
